Zoe PerrinZoe Perrin-Callens

Flemish artist, Zoe Perrin-Callens, captures free spirited, untamed energy with her expressive brushstrokes and bold colours as she constantly questions, explores, and experiments.  Turning her talents to art in 2002, Zoe exhibits expertise in a variety of disciplines from traditional animal, landscape and portraits to wildly abstract expressions of her view of the world.  She focuses on pastels and acrylics.  Her art has become a passion in her life as it continues to grow around an ever-changing vision.

Zoe has studied at numerous art schools in Southern Ontario including Toronto, Unionville, Sutton, Markham and Newmarket.  She has also taken workshops in the south of France and in Tuscany, Italy.

Zoe is inspired in her art by Pablo Picasso, George Braque and Henri Matisse driven by their brilliant colour and textured surfaces.

Zoe captures day-to-day events and images and expresses her feelings through a mixture of styles in constant flux.  Her art is intended to evoke rather than portray.

Zoe was born and raised in Belgium and currently resides in York Region, Ontario, Canada.
